Lamorna Cove, Lamorna, Penzance TR19 6XJ, UK
A beautiful cove to visit in the depths of West Cornwall especially if you arrive on a sunny day as we did. Also better visiting out of the holiday season as the narrow road and car park at the end gets very congested. There is a very nice cafe at the cove which serves nice snacks (hot and cold).
Very serene.. but if you don't know. There IS ANPR IN OPERATION.. DISABLED OR NOT ...£60 FINE should you not notice .. it's a private road ... I found that out to my cost !!!
The hidden cove that you finally find and there is a reasonable cafe and parking. Beach is only small and depends on the tide but is charming with sand and rocks in a small harbour. Road a bit twisty but again part of the charm.
To be honest this place has lost its way, toilets are rough, and the bay seems to be a seaweed store in the rougher seas. Much nicer coves to visit to be honest these days. Car park is tight if you're not great at shunting, and can't quite figure out if the upper car park is open or not. Would be a good base for a walk, but not much more.
More a small harbour/cove as opposed to a beach but beautiful setting and nice cafe where you can sit outdoors and have an excellent crab sandwich. Ideally walk there along the coast path from Mousehole.
