Place is not bad, shrimps are very tasty, for example, but sellers on the market are preliminary swindlers. So I advise to check everything and discuss all conditions before purchase. Communication is rather complicated, even if you are free in English. I think, it caused by wish to sell more products and not to provide full conditions. Because in the end you have to pay all they announce or not to get your products. It is their country and they feel there more comfortable, and protected.

nice place to visit with the usual t shirt stands and plenty of variety at that. There`s what seems to be a "bar street" at the end of the bazaar if that`s your thing.. good food to be had as there`s plenty of nice restaurants. It was very humid in September so beware during the warmer months. You don`t get too hassled either by the vendors.

A busy fish market, simply look round at the different fish for sale and either buy to take away and cook or take to a very near by restaurant. Newly caught fresh fish is again brought in at around 6pm each day. The restaurant cooking charge varies from 6 TL to 10 TL per person and this normally includes bread, garlic butter, water.

We had a short stay there and checked around. They have an interesting concept. You first buy your fish from the stands and then you can bring them to the nearby restaurants to be cooked. They charge a service fee (6 to 10 liras) which may include the cooking, salad and bread. Better to check the fee and its coverage in advance. Although we haven't tried it, the concepts sounds quite good.
