My son and I thoroughly enjoyed a print party with Dave and his delightful assistants. We created woodblock prints of "The Great Wave" in our hour of expert instruction. Framed them on the way home and now beautifully decorating our apartment walls. What absolute fun. Thanks so much.

I love going to Dave's incredible studio to do a print party. This was my second time, and I brought my new husband with me to try out the print of the month, a take on Hokusai's great wave - the "microwave" (cue laughter). As there were only two of us we got to have a couple of goes and were treated to some coffee midway through before doing what I always do - spending far too much on mokuhanga! They are being shipped to our home address and I'm looking forward to seeing our work and purchases again!

Fantastic experience making a microwave woodblock print. Highly recommended me and the rest of the family had a ball.

I know Mokuhankan from its YouTube channel (David Bull). I haven't been here myself yet, but I plan to visit the shop at my next trip to Tokyo. Dave Bull, the owner, has built an excellent business with a great staff that he trains himself. I can highly recommend to pay the Mokuhankan a visit, while checking the surrounding touristic sights.

David is a fantastic instructor and highlighted the necessary care and art to produce a good woodblock print. All the ones in the group I was with turned out lovely! The shop as well has a wide range of prints in various themes and subjects, as well as being produced in a number of Eras (Edo, Meiji, Shows, Heisei) at affordable prices.
