Small but mighty. It's easy to miss this building as you make your way through the sights of Padova. But it's worth taking an hour or so to stop in and appreciate the art and history of the baptistery. No photos allowed!

Beware! Currently under construction and almost NOTHING TO SEE. You pay 3€ before you realize that. This is tourist rip-off!!! Regards to the clever guy at the entrance :((

This is splendid monument of medieval culture and architecture of XIV century. Interiors are decorated with the frescoes painted about 1376 by Giusto di Menabuoi (1320-1391). Majority of frescoes are in excellent condition. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light and tripod. This is another "must see" place in Padua. Highly recommend.

Il Battistero è purtroppo oggetto di una profonda e complessa opera di conservazione e recupero , che rende solo parzialmente visibili gli splendidi affreschi di Giusto de'Menabuoi. Anche così però non si può non comprendere la grandezza e la bellezza di questo splendido ciclo pittorico, che lo pone ad un livello molto vicino all'opera di Giotto.
