This was a great museum, full of information and history about the naval and maritime tradition in Greece. The upstairs exhibit was very informative and they even had a recreation where you can use Morse code! Well worth the visit if you have even a passing interest in history or ships.

For the €3 adult entry fee this museum is fantastic! The written information is, for the most part, repeated in English and the range of displays is great. My only negative comments are that some of the exhibits have had their write ups worn away and that the majority of the display cases need a proper clean. The family were well entertained.

A good museum with amazing ship models. The modelers here are masters at their craft. There is a wide variety of maritime topics covered making our visit interesting and enjoyable.

I really enjoyed the Maritime museum of Crete. There are lots of photos and models of boats and the displays range from the earliest days of Crete to the present. I especially liked the information about the Greek capture of the Greek islands in the early 1900s. There are a lot of photos and videos on the second floor about the German occupation of Crete in the second world war, and the resistance. Very reasonable admission cost.
