Honestly, this is the Only Bad restaurant I’ve been to in Croatia! I ordered 2 items only. 1. Fried squid - yes it was tasty, But, it was Uncleaned!!! Ewww!! On my first bite all the inside goo squirted out, and even the bone(little plastic looking thing) was inside. For everyone else who said it was good - I’m sorry have you had squid before?! I had them my whole life and never once were they not gutted. 2. ‘Clam’ - first of all they were not clams but mussels. Clam technically is a different kind of shell animal (and taste much better). Secondly it was less than mediocre. I still gave it 2 stars because the price was cheap and the owners were actually nice. But hey, small money wasted is wasted after all (and tougher they were not cheap anymore). For the same price please go to a decent restaurant

The only authentic place I have seen in Zadar old town. Very nice and friendly staff, short menu, but tasty food and snacks. Prices around half to two-thirds of what the surrounding restaurants take. Friday night the place was packed with older Croatian men, so seems to be frequented by the locals, too.

I was reading few comments about squids "not being cleaned/gutted" now the thing is thats one of the ways of preparing..mostly done on croatian islands and fishing ports(lets just say its "old way of doing things"...only done if squid is fresh

Fresh fish from a short menu. Lovely local environment and charming waitress. Cheap prices for reasonable portions. More than recomendable. (Somos españoles)
