Went in the summer. You can take a chair lift to the base of the mountain but have to hike the rest. If you go in the summer put on sun screen lotion, at that hight you will get sun burnt on a clear day

I would definitely visit them every year and will take the kids there! Now with the lift its really easy to reach them! I think everyone should visit the Rila lakes at least once! Enjoy the nature and keep the garbage in your backpack!

Slightly difficult to climb but it is worth the amazing view
