Great and comfortable rooms with awesome view. Nice beds and cool private beach. But never drink a glass of the housewine. Doesn't matter red or white.. Just terrible. Still don't know why they sell it. Every wine from any small winery or minimarket is better! Just change it. Sheap Albanian muscat and cabernet would solve it!

I will try to give detailed description of pros and cons of staying in Andon Lapa Hotel in Saranda, because there is huge contrast between what was good and what was bad. Let’s start from the positive aspects, because there are fewer of them. Biggest score goes to hotel, its location, beautiful view, proximity of the beach, free sunbeds, cool terrace and swimming pool. Rooms were beautifully designed, huge and clean. Bathrooms were modern. There were new, fresh, snow-white towels every day. Beds were big and comfortable. And that’s it when it comes to positives. „All-Inclusive” was a total disaster when it comes to food, restaurant equipment and service. I have never seen something so bad, for such money (2650PLN/person = 675$). Of course nobody was starving, because there was enough food, but the choice was terrible. I stres sit once mote, it’s „ALL INCLUSIVE”: 1. Breakfast – everyday, I mean EVERYDAY was the same. You could go with closed eyes and take all the ingredients and meals without making single mistake. One type of ham everyday the same, one type of cheese, roasted little sausages, hard-boiled eggs, fried eggs dripping with fat, bread soaked in egg and fried in deep oil, cream puffs fried in oil, pancakes, tomatoes, cucumbers, one type of bread, two jams and peanut butter. Coffee was either cold (because they forgot to turn on the thermos), or sometimes there wasn’t any coffee at all. I will leave the taste of it without any commentary… 2. Dinners were good, but there wasn’t any choice at all. You had to eat what was there. In most cases it was spaghetti, pasta with ham, very good goulash with vegetables or chicken breasts. Two times a week there was seafood, and then people who don’t like it haven’t had any choice at all. Guests were even ordering pizzas to the hotel to eat anything! 3. Suppers vere quite good, but like with dinners, choice was small. All-inclusive luxuries were sliced fruits, 2 times there was something like pudding cut in little cubes, and dry cake. Embarrassing was the fact that there were not enough tableware in the canteen (dessert plates, glasses, small spoons). Guests irritated with asking staff for spoons, were mixing coffee and tea with big spoon, and were making them in beer mugs instead of a cup. Cups and glasses were chipped, cracked, not washed properly. Drinks in restaurant were very often served in plastic cups. Getting a milk to the coffee was a great achievement, because it was available only during breakfast. Daily reapeted requests were succesfull, but not always. Butter was a luxury, but very often it was old and not fresh. Sometimes it was available at breakfast, but never at supper. After asking, waiter brought some butter, but it was all in great conspiracy. Snack bar was available between 11AM and 1 PM. Those were sausages and these strange cream puffs without a taste, which were leftovers from the breakfast plus little sandwiches. The food was laid down on the counter where drinks were ordered, without any cover from insects and people leaning over it. Waiters dressed in gray pull-down T-shirts with hotel name on them. Women at reception desk looked like vacationists, dressed in shorts and blouses tied up under the chest. Hotel bands were reusable, in one size, falling from children hands, and hardly impossible to put on by men. By returning, my husbands band broke and he had to pay 2 euro for it.
