Pizza by the Sea at Gulf Place

November of 2020 for pickup. We ordered three pizzas for pickup and a Caesar salad, and they were ready in a reasonable amount of time (about 20 minutes from the time we called). The food itself was far below average and not worth the almost $30/large pizza (after tax our total for 3 large pizzas and a salad was about $95). Our pizzas were burnt on the bottom, toppings/cheese/sauce unevenly distributed, and dough flavor below superior.

This was my first time getting pizza at this restaurant. At first I wasn't impressed by the way the pizza looked, little thin on toppings. I was however pleased with the first bite, it was moist, flavorful, cheesy and the crust was crispy and chewy at the same time. Not exactly New York pizza but really good pizza in a world of really overly doughy versions. This will be my go to pizza place whenever I'm in SRB.

With covid still a thing and no masks being worn ... little unsettling. However it’s upstairs and open so basically outdoor seating with roof over your head. Restrooms are downstairs located in breezeway next to some clothing store. First time here. Little unclear to get seated but then told to get up to get our own menu... then we get it sit back down and wait to have our order asked and uhm yeah didn’t happen have to go to the counter and place it. Little annoyed ordering the wrong thing and not getting refunded but I did screw up in all fairness. But yeah that gross couldn’t eat it. Overall good service. Calzone was on point (now after having the correct order since I messed up). Definitely would go back.

The pizza is thin and does not stay together. There are no real plates, only paper sheets to eat off of. The employees were not wearing masks. You have to go up stairs to get to it. There is not a view of the sea. The oscillating fans do not keep it from getting really hot.

Dined here with friends while visiting Santa Rosa. Our group of seven (4 adults, 3 teens) all agreed that the pizza was delicious!!!The tables and patrons were spaced far enough apart as we sat on the covered patio. I would have liked to see masks worn by servers and not allowing patrons to get their own drinks from the machine.
