See the largest waves in the world, and take a walk through the historic town centers of Nazaré, Óbidos, Batalha and Alcobaça, some home to UNESCO World Heritage Site monasteries.
If you like adrenaline, then you must come and see the largest waves in the world. Nazaré is world famous for having gigantic waves. Surfers from around the globe come to Portugal just for a chance to ride them. With its beautiful sandy beach and the rhythm of the pounding waves, Nazaré is the perfect place for undisturbed walks along the shore, surfing, tanning, and, of course, fishing.
The town gets its name after a statue of the Virgin Mary, which was brought from Nazareth by a monk in the 4th century.
On this tour, you can also visit the historical towns of Óbidos, Alcobaça, and Batalha. They are home to UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Batalha Monastery and the Alcobaça Monastery.
