Parque Eduardo VII, 1070-051 Lisboa, Portugal
A beautiful covered garden with a huge range of plants large and small. Cleverly laid out with attractive paths and grotto, a delight round each and every corner. Can't praise it highly enough - go visit.
We where not sure if you could even get into this place as there are no visible signs but we managed to find it and what an amazing place it is, it was not to far from our hotel and when you get in there you cannot hear any noise from the traffic. It is a lovely place to go and visit in Lisbon.
Huge, enclosed and shaded botanical park with plethora of tropical trees, shrubs and flowers. Scattered ponds with fish and small wandering birds add to the woodland vibes. It's a relief from scorching August sun as it's much cooler than outside. There are few sections connected with roads, one of them houses cacti species. Highly recommend.
The best botanical garden I have ever seen! The plants are well integrated into natural terrain (according to the pamphlet the garden started when plant collection was left neglected during WWII, and had spread around the area). It's lush and beautiful!
Coming from another part of Europe where palms and banana trees are to be seen in botanical gardens this place is a paradise. The part where light gets in through wooden blinds on the roof is just stunning. It's a bargain for approx. 4 eur per person. Great experience.
