Snorkeling is probably not what comes first to mind in the cold Icelandic climate. Think again! Snorkeling in Silfra is a surreal experience for all adventurers that don't mind some cold water snorkeling. An experience you will never forget!
Silfra is a fissure in Thingvellir National Park which provides a unique opportunity to dive beetween the North American and Eurasian continental plates. This remarkable crack is filled with the clearest water on our planet (over 100 meters visibility). Silfra is filled with glacial water that has been trickling through underground lava for around 30 years.
You will be provided with a dry suit and we'll guide you through the four parts of the Silfra fissure. Our guests have described the experience as otherworldly – a sensational combination of astonishing colours and ice-cold water.
Silfra is conveniently located in Thingvellir National Park, which is a part of the famous Golden Circle Route.
